Cooking & broiling & baking, oh my!
I accidentally stumbled into the world of cooking because I fell for a guy. That, and my likely starvation.
I'm a travel nut--to me there is almost nothing better than traveling to other countries, taking in the sites, culture, language, and of course, food. In 2010 I took off and lived in New Zealand for 6 months. I loved everything about it until I realized that I had no idea how to cook. I mean, cooking meals that didn't begin with ramen and end with noodles. At university I had a dining hall, but there I had a full kitchen--and a lot of ignorance.
By some chance of fate, my life changed when I met a guy. As I grew to know him more, the more I aspired to be as passionate about cooking as he was. He was patient enough to teach me everything from the basics to completing delicious meals. Although the distance has had an impact on our friendship, he will always be the one who lit the match that sparked my interest!
My culinary goals are not to master the art and create my own cooking show, but to create simple delicious meals, fit for all ages and skill levels. Besides, it's never too late to learn how to start!
