My Pantry

If you are like me, I hate complicated recipes chalk full of 1-2 tsps of some ingredient that you'll never need to use in any other recipe, and you can only buy in a full bottle/bulk. Here are some of my basics that I always keep in my pantry!

Fruits:
*Apples
*Oranges
*Mixed Berries (frozen)
*Fresh berries/peaches/pears/etc! (summertime only!)


Veggies:
*Romaine
*Spinach
*Cucumbers
*Roma tomatoes
*Olives (canned)
*Carrots
*Broccoli


Grains:
*Spaghetti noodles
*Whole wheat bread
*Bagels!
*Old fashioned oats
*Rice
*Couscous


Dairy:
*Low fat/fat-free milk
*Nancy's Yogurt
*Zoi Yogurt
*Cream Cheese
*Part-skim mozzarella
*Cheddar cheese
*Mexican-mixed bag of cheese


Meats/Beans/Protein:
*Kidney beans (canned)
*Chickpeas (canned)
*Chicken (frozen)
*Ground beef
*Eggs!
*Hummas
*Vegetarian refried beans


Baking supplies:
*Brown sugar
*Powdered sugar
*Granulated sugar
*Vanilla (extract)


Spices/Herbs/Seasonings:


Savory:
*Salt

*Curry

Sweet:

BONUS SECTION:
Snacks for the 'on the go' person!
I love being active.  I love my courses, I love my job, I (sometimes) love working out.  But when you are ALWAYS on the go, it is difficult to find time to slow down--not to mention 20-30 minutes to eat! For me personally, this will not work for everyone, I take a few snacks with me whenever I have a hectic day and just in case!  Here are some good snacks to have around:

*Low-fat/part-skim string cheese
*Granola bars
*Small bags of nuts
*Hummas
*Yogurt
